As violence escalates in the Middle East, we have seen a troubling rise in anti-Semitic and Islamophobic rhetoric and acts in the United States. Global Refuge unequivocally condemns hate in all forms and stands for the human dignity of all people, no matter where they were born or where they now call home. We pray for peace and an end to violence in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank and advocate for a world where all can practice their faith without fear. The loss of life and dehumanization of those impacted by the conflict are anathema to our principles of welcome and hope for those seeking safety. We call on the United States government to advocate for an immediate ceasefire in the region and do everything within its power to mitigate the suffering of Israelis, Palestinians, and all affected by the war.
