Juanita's Story
Fostering Love
Juanita was only 11 when she arrived in the United States from Guatemala. She spent several years transitioning between temporary homes before being placed with her foster family in Worcester, Massachusetts by Ascentria Care Alliance, a part of the Global Refuge foster care network. Now, she’s a cross country star, college-bound in the fall, and an integral part of the family.
I know they're not my biological parents, but it feels like it.
