Crossing the River
Emillie was only 8 years old when she and her family were forced to flee the Democratic Republic of Congo.
They spent 15 years living in Uganda as refugees—but while they had begun to build a life there, it was not their home.
When Emillie was finally able to come to the United States, she found herself in an entirely new home—one that would pave the way for a journey of faith, friendship, and facing her fears.
