Global Refuge on PBS NewsHour | Resettling Afghan Refugees

Global Refuge’s President & CEO, Krish O’Mara Vignarajah, joined PBS NewsHour to talk about our work resettling Afghan refugees, including both families and unaccompanied children.

Since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan in August, the United States has evacuated more than 75,000 Afghans through Operation Allies Welcome. As of the end of 2021, roughly 20,000 evacuees remain on six military bases across the U.S., but more than 50,000 have started new lives in local communities. Watch the interview below:
