7 Ways to Make a Difference for Immigrants and Refugees This Season

Global Refuge Staff

December 4, 2025

The holiday season is here, bringing festive fun, time with family and friends, and a chance to reflect on the past year. For many refugees and other immigrants, it has been a particularly difficult and dangerous time. They may be spending the season away from loved ones, hiding in the shadows, or worrying whether they still have a future in the United States.

That’s why we’re bringing you seven ways to help refugees and immigrants this holiday season. As you gather with loved ones, we encourage you to look for ways to spread kindness in your communities at a time when people need it most. Pick one or two (or seven!) ways to celebrate, and share with your family and friends to help us bring hope for the holidays.
