GRI was founded in 2001 and is a registered non-profit organization (501c-3) in the United States. GRI works in the areas of international development, disaster relief, protection of children in conflict and advocacy for the forgotten people of the world, no matter their religion or political affiliation. GRI has worked throughout the world in places such as: Uganda, Burma (Myanmar), US (Katrina), DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), and Thailand.
