BORDER RELIEF

Sending in assistance through pastors... After seeing the need along the border of Burma and Thailand, we had to help. We began providing direct relief to internally displaced people and refugees in the border areas through a local network of pastors who desired to help their people. These pastors worked tirelessly, with no personal gain, to purchase medication, rice and other necessary items to people displaced in the war-torn area. During this time members of the first team to this region in 2001 visited this area and assisted with this work. In 2005, longer term staff members went to live in Thailand to expand the reach to those in need.
