Living with HIV/AIDS
Apuru Alfred

"My name is Apuru Alfred and I am LIVING with HIV."

HIV isn’t the end of my life. When I found out over 6 years ago that I was positive for HIV, I tried everything I could to get medication so that I could try to still LIVE my life in a normal way and not bring in problems for myself. It was very difficult for me.

I am 46 years old and have been taking medication for many years now. The medication that GRI gives me monthly has improved my health and now I have enough energy to do things. I now have reduced stress, an improved life and am able to send my children to school. I have 6 children from the ages 7 to 24 that I must support even with this sickness.

I have hope for life, I reflect on Christ and the love he has for me. I believe I could still LIVE longer.

I pray for constant supply of medication and God answered my prayers so I have hope in Jesus Christ. I will keep trusting in Him.
